From coach to mentor.

Mentor Edge Group is led by Joey McKitterick and Nelson Ossé, two basketball representatives shaped by years inside Brookwood Elite and Montreal community basketball. Their work has helped players reach college basketball, the NBA, and professional leagues abroad. They advise athletes and families through the decisions that shape development, opportunity, and life after the game.

Mentor Edge Group represents high school, college, and professional athletes with the perspective of people who have spent years inside the gyms and programs where players are evaluated, recruited, challenged, and prepared for the next level.

Joey and Nelson bring that experience into representation. Players get direct advice, families get clear context, and every recommendation is made with the player's development, career, and life after the game in view.

The people behind Mentor Edge.

Joey McKitterick

Director

Joey grew up in Brookwood basketball, the community program where he first played and later moved into coaching at the invitation of his former coaches. In 2002, he co-founded Brookwood Elite and helped grow it into one of Montreal's recognized development pathways.

At Brookwood Elite, Joey has spent years evaluating how players move from grassroots basketball into college and professional opportunities. He understands exposure, recruitment, eligibility, program fit, and the habits that determine whether a player is ready for the next level. Joey also led Team Canada at an international development showcase, giving him another view of how top prospects are evaluated against elite competition.

That experience now shapes how Joey represents players. He brings a coach's eye to development and a working knowledge of the business around the game, helping athletes and families weigh each opportunity with the player first.

Nelson Ossé

Director

Nelson co-founded Brookwood Elite with Joey and helped build it into a Montreal development pathway. He also built a community basketball organization rooted in the program he came through, extending the same standards and support to younger players.

Across those settings, Nelson has helped players move from community basketball into NCAA Division I, the NBA, and professional opportunities, including a first NBA player from the program and three pros from his own program.

With families, Nelson brings structure to decisions that can move fast. He helps players and parents understand what an opportunity asks of the player, what support needs to be in place, and how the choice fits the next step.
